What is a Science Café?

Science Cafés are informal discussions about interesting science topics. We like to hold Science Cafés in casual locations, such as coffeehouses or pubs, so that anyone who wants to participate can easily join us. An expert in the field leads the discussion, but don't worry - - you don't have to know anything about science to participate! Our expert will give an introduction on their topic that provides enough background information for you to engage in conversation, debate, ask questions, form opinions and get excited about the topic!
Science Cafés are fun for all ages, and they are free and open to the public. Attending a Science Café is the perfect way for you to learn about the latest issues in science, chat with an expert in plain language and meet new friends.
If you are interested in hosting one of our upcoming Science Cafes, or have questions about what a Science Café is,
