Fabry-Perot Interferometer

Fabry-Perot Interferometer

The Tropospheric Trace Species Sensing Fabry-Perot Interferometer, under the Instrument Incubator Program (IIP), will mitigate the risk associated with an advanced atmospheric remote sensor intended for geostationary-based measurement of tropospheric ozone and other trace species. Langley scientists and engineers will develop an advanced instrument prototype system and demonstrate it aboard a high-altitude airborne platform. Future space-based implementation of this measurement concept is desired to investigate greenhouse gases that affect climate change.
