About:
Currently serves as the SSAI Clouds and the Earth’s Radiant Energy System (CERES) Data Management Team Task Lead on the STARSS III contract. Works with a team of 25 responsible for projects that develop, maintain, and update software that create Climate Data Records using data from six different NASA’s CERES instruments fused with data from various other polar-orbiting and geostationary satellite instruments and atmospheric models. Ensures timely CERES data product production. Responsible for updating and maintaining the convolution software that averages high-resolution imager data (Visible and Infrared Scanner (VIRS), Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS), and Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS)) within a CERES footprint. This code has been used to convolve Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) Microwave Imager (TMI), Multi-angle Imaging SpectroRadiometer (MISR), Cloud-Aerosol Lidar and Infrared Pathfinder Satellite (CALIPSO), CloudSat, and simulated Climate Absolute Radiance and Refractivity Observatory (CLARREO) Pathfinder data within a CERES footprint. Previously, was a Group Manager covering support services for the Atmospheric Science and System Engineering Directorates.
