About:
Joshua L. Kinne is the Operations Lead for the Science Directorate at Langley Research Center. In this role, he oversees and integrates the logistics, facilities, and cybersecurity operations supporting the entire science portfolio at Langley. He was most recently a project manager with Langley Research Center’s Science Flight Projects Office, serving as the Deputy Project Manager for Technical Integration for the Climate Absolute Radiance and Refractivity Observatory (CLARREO) Pathfinder project. His responsibilities on the project included risk management, space asset protection, and export control. Kinne joined NASA in May of 2011. He previously managed a laboratory supporting aeronautics projects in the Revolutionary Aviation Technologies Branch. Kinne started his engineering career with Lockheed Martin in Owego, NY testing spaceflight radios in the Space Payload Evaluation and Test Department. He later transitioned to a project developing hardware for the integration and test of the B-2 Strategic Bomber radar. Kinne served in the Army Reserve from December 2000 to May of 2011. In 2009 he served a tour in Iraq, managing a portfolio of over $90 million dollars of infrastructure projects in close coordination with the Iraqi military and Ministry of Water Resources.
