About:
Ms. Lisa Yoakum currently serves as the Deputy Director for Program Planning & Control (PP&C) supporting NASA Langley Research Center’s (LaRC) Science Directorate (SD). In this role, she is responsible for oversight of SD business operations and resources management. She represents SD on Center PP&C activities and leads the annual budgeting process, year of execution activities, and end-of-fiscal-year closeout.
Prior to joining the SD leadership team in August 2022, Ms. Yoakum started her career at LaRC in 2002 as a cost analyst in the Management Support Office (MSO), which evolved to the Incubator Institute (ii), Strategic Relationships Office (SRO), Office of Strategic Analysis, Communications, and Business (OSACB) throughout several Center reorganizations. In 2009, she accepted a program analyst position in the Flight Projects Directorate (FPD) and Science Program Analysis Office (SPAO) managing resources and budgets for flight projects including CLARREO, MEDLI, SAGE III on ISS, RBI, TEMPO, and MSR EES. Prior to joining NASA, she worked as a cost analyst with the Department of the Navy. Ms. Yoakum received her B.S. degree in Mathematics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University.
