About:
Rosalba is a dedicated leader in accessible science education, who engages diverse communities in GLOBE and other NASA programs. Originally from Mexico City, Rosalba embarked on her NASA journey through the Minority University Research and Education Project (MUREP) Educator Institute at NASA Glenn. She later partnered with NYC public schools, the NY Hall of Science, and after-school organizations, introducing NASA STEM programs to both teachers and underserved students. During her NASA Kennedy internship, Rosalba created space biology educational content in both English and Spanish, and she engaged over 1,000 Hispanic students. Her journey continued at NASA Goddard, where she spearheaded initiatives to enhance accessibility in STEM and education, impacting over 35,000 individuals. Rosalba also managed Earth Science content within NASA’s Community of Practice for Educators (NASA CONNECTS). Currently, Rosalba serves as a science education outreach coordinator at NASA Langley, where her leadership extends to the ENGAGE GLOBE Mission Earth program, offering guidance and training to teachers across the United States.Notable Awards:
